Telemedicine
Virtual Primary Care & Mental Health Visits in Olympia, WA
Heritage Family Medicine offers secure, HIPAA-compliant telemedicine appointments for patients throughout Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, and all of Washington State. With telehealth, you can meet with your primary care or mental health provider from the comfort of your home or workplace — no travel, no waiting room, and no disruption to your day.
Our telehealth platform uses two-way video technology to deliver the same quality care as an in-person visit. Washington State insurance law requires commercial insurers to reimburse telemedicine visits at the same rate as in-office visits, so your copay and coverage work exactly the same way — whether you come in or connect online.
How Telemedicine Works at Heritage Family Medicine
Scheduling a telemedicine visit is simple. Call or text our Olympia office at 360-704-2362 to request a telehealth appointment. We will send you a secure link before your appointment time — just click it on your phone, tablet, or computer and you will be connected directly with your provider.
Telehealth visits work best for the following types of care:
- Follow-up appointments for chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, and ADHD
- Medication management and prescription refill reviews
- Mental health and psychiatric consultations
- Minor illness evaluation — colds, flu, sinus infections, mild respiratory symptoms
- Counseling and health education, including nutrition, smoking cessation, and family planning
- Review of recent lab results or imaging reports
- Weight loss check-ins and lifestyle coaching
Telehealth appointments are by appointment only and available Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. To schedule, call or text 360-704-2362 or submit a request through our website. Medicare and most commercial insurance plans cover telehealth at the same rate as in-person visits — your copay applies as normal.
